Substack Is Not Social Media — It’s a Call for Unity and Freedom
Substack is about creator sovereignty, community unity, and long-form freedom.
Substack is NOT Social Media!
A family of creators.
Substack is more than another platform.
It’s a reaction to the colossal harm caused to everyone by the so-called “Social” Media platforms. It’s a movement that wants both creators and audiences to recover what most lost - connection. Here is not about creator vs creator. It’s about collaboration. We work as a team, one way or another. If YOU come to this platform with the old mentality, don’t be surprised when you don’t get the instant gratification your masters used to give you.
Substack is a mix of many of the best characteristics of the era of the old internet (1995-2005) and the era of social media (2006-2025).
How to build a successful newsletter.
Depending on the platform you choose, the creator experience is different.
Sure, some sites might be focused on videos. Others focused on images, and others only focused on text. In this platform, you’ve everything. From podcast to video (with both long-form and reels). From text only to images. From Livestream to chat groups. Here, many different types of creators co-exist and work together. With each new update, the site becomes more and more a content hub with amazing distribution and repurposing of content.
Instead of gatekeeping content. Substack helps you grow, working with you and not against you, like previous platforms used and still do.
Join the new generation of creators
Don’t forget
, and I are working on the second episode about the future of the internet.Join us in a journey of where will explore the great history of the internet since the 1950s all the way to our times. We’ll talk about the different eras of this digital realm and discuss what the future holds for us. It’s time to break our chains from these evil and greedy corporations and take control of our attention, our creativity, and freedom of expression.
The new era of the internet has many opportunities for both new and old creators.
Community-driven Growth.
Building a brand online, especially on Substack, is not the best idea.
We might have more space to move on this platform. However, we must take a proactive approach instead of posting and expecting something magical to happen. We need to interact with others. Build relationships with both creators and followers/subscribers. The bigger, active, and supportive our network is, the sooner we can see more positive results like:
More views on our posts.
More interactions on our notes.
Access to a group of people who can help you promote your content, product, and services.
Unlike a machine who force you to work one way - even against your own interest. You’ve option to choose with who you want to work and asociate.
How to build relationships that last.
Without an algorithm telling us what to do…
What should we do?
We can start networking and collaborating with others. Not by instantly going to everyone’s DMs to ask for collaboration or recommendations - that’s not the way to do it. Instead, try to follow people who you think align well with the content you’re posting. Engage with them by commenting on their notes and posts, writing meaningful and valuable comments. Don’t be one of those commenters writing things like:
It’s so great.
It’s unique.
It’s raw.
This is a conversation, not a contest to know who sounds more like an AI.
When you want to collaborate with others, come with a plan, a proposal. Explain:
What’s your plan?
Why do you want to work with them?
Why do you think his/her audience would find it interesting?
This is about making meaningful connections and growing together, not about using people for your own gains.
The forgotten power of networking.
Substack is intentionally low-algorithm.
Your growth doesn’t depend on a viral feed but on mentions, restacks, shoutouts, and shared trust. Networking is how you activate that - algorithms don’t make you visible, people do.
A single recommendation from a respected creator can do more than 10 perfectly crafted posts.
Collaboration multiplies exposure.
Guest posts, co-hosted livestreams, interviews, and group threads let you tap into each other’s audiences, boost credibility, and spark ideas you wouldn’t find alone.
Think of networking not as promotion, but as creative synergy.
Trust transfers through relationships.
People are more likely to subscribe to your newsletter when you’re recommended by someone they already trust.
That’s relational authority, and it compounds over time.
The best opportunities happen in DMs
Partnerships, paid work, collabs, and invites to projects — most of these don’t come from a form. They come from being known, visible, and respected in your niche.
That starts with comments, replies, and shoutouts — small signals of support.
Most people have forgotten the real Power of Networking.
In the hustle to create content, many creators have forgotten the great power of having a community. Networking isn’t just about “getting more subscribers” — it’s about:
Feeling less alone at work.
Building a circle of creative allies.
Tapping into shared resources, feedback, and reach.
You can build a great newsletter alone, but if you want to build something that lasts, build it with others.
The multi-dimensional collab system
I’ve worked with many creators.
and I’ve worked together to create amazing posts for each other's publications. With I’ve worked to create an amazing trilogy about the future of the internet. I’ve the honor to tell the stories of amazing creators like and . I’ve done co-host lives with my dear friend . and I’ve had team up on multiple occasions, doing collabs on notes. With
and my friend I’ve had amazing live or recorded interviews.Substack greates opportunity
To return power to creators and communities.
To forge a new internet with foundations of ownership, trust, and creator-led communities - instead of algorithms and surveillance. Unlike traditional social media platforms, you own your audience, your content, and your freedom. No more shadowbanning. No random feed changes. No begging the algorithm to care - because it never will.
Flips the power dynamic with Substack - you control the reach, not the platform.
Enjoy direct Audience Connection.
Email is intimate, intentional, and permission-based. When a new subscriber says, “Yes, I want to hear from you.” That’s a much stronger foundation than meaningless likes or views.
You’re not chasing eyeballs — you’re nurturing real readers.
Experience an entirely new ecosystem built on Trust.
Use the power of Substack’s recommendation system, restacks, and cross-promotion features to create a powerful network of supportive allies that help each other to grow.
We’re marching together as a team, all of us - from the smallest to the biggest creators.
It’s time to return to a Long-Form dominated landscape.
While the rest of the internet shrinks into shorts, tweets, and hooks… Substack empowers YOU to go deeper, tell stories, and build thought leadership.
The future belongs to those who can hold attention, not just grab it.
While the AI is killing the old era of social media - a new generation is rising.
Substack isn’t just a newsletter tool. It’s part of a larger shift toward decentralized platforms, creator-owned media, and community-based publishing. The next internet isn’t owned by greedy mega-platforms — it’s small, trusted networks led by independent creators.
Substack’s greatest opportunity is to become the new content hub for a new internet — one built on trust, value, and creative freedom.
The key to your success
It’s not just writing consistently.
It’s not just great headlines or viral ideas.
The real key is to build relationships, not just readership.
People don’t want to follow machines. They want to follow people.
They’re not just reading your content. They’re investing in your voice, values, and vision.
Show up and tell your story. Be present. Be the best version of yourself.
Growth comes through connection.
On Substack, growth isn’t algorithmic — it’s relational.
Comments, restacks, recommendations, collabs — that’s where the magic happens.
Sustainability comes from trust.
The creators who thrive long-term aren’t chasing trends — they’re earning trust through meaningful content and community. Trust leads to loyalty.
Loyalty leads to freedom.
Post more - with intention.
Build/find your tribe - don’t build alone.
Hustle smarter, not harder - build systems and alliances.
Write with intention + Engage with people = Build something that lasts
